Study into alcohol risks and mental wellbeing in young people
Are you concerned about your child’s drinking and mental wellbeing? Are they aged 12-17? If yes then the STAR study (Study exploring Alcohol Risks and mental wellbeing) would like to talk to you individually or in small groups for approximately 1 hour, as part of a research project being conducted at the University.
We will talk about your experiences and how families of young people who drink alcohol and also experience difficulties with their emotions (such as feeling sad, annoyed and worried) can be best supported.
Interviews will be audio recorded with your permission, and can take place at a time and a place suitable for you. As a thanks for your time you will receive a £10 gift voucher for taking part. If you would like to take part or request further information, please contact Emma Geijer-Simpson on (0191) 2087400 or via the study's email address.
