Friends of the University Library Event
Date: 26th July 2017
Location: meet at the South gates of Jesmond Old Cemetery
Discover Sid Chaplin, local author of The Day of the Sardine and The Watchers and the Watched, through a guided talk by his son, writer Michael Chaplin. We will be walking from Jesmond to Ouseburn, hearing about the stories behind the places such as the graveyard Sid Chaplin would walk through to collect names for his stories. The walk will be rounded off by an optional visit to the pub!
This is part of our Friends of the University Library series of free events which are open to anyone that wishes to join us. As places are limited if you would like to attend please complete our booking form.
