SEECARD Seaweed study – volunteers needed
We are investigating whether consuming a small amount of seaweed with a meal will reduce the digestion of carbohydrate and fat from it. To achieve this we will be looking at what passes from the gut to the blood.
We are looking for men and women, who are generally healthy, non-smoking, aged over 30 years, and do not have diabetes.
You would be required to visit the study centre 3 times, on a morning; each visit would last between 4-5 hours.
As a thank you and appreciation for the time given to the study, participants will be given £30 in intu (Eldon Square/Metrocentre) vouchers.
If you are interested in participating, or would like further information, please email M.Niekzad1@newcastle.ac.uk
