Industrial Action Impact Form

If you believe that your studies, research or ability to complete assessments, has been significantly adversely affected by the industrial action, you should advise your academic unit of this by completing the Industrial Action Impact Form (IAIF).

Industrial Action Impact Form will be made available following conclusion of the industrial action on Friday 13 March

You should provide information on how your studies or research have been impacted in as much detail as possible (eg dates, times, module and ways in which you have been affected).

You can use one form to record impact from several modules. Please ensure that you include the full module code(s) on the form.

Postgraduate research (PGR) students should give details of any supervisory sessions missed as a result of the industrial action and/or should explain how their research or progress has been impacted in the free text comment box.

Once you've submitted your form it will be passed to the appropriate member of staff within each academic unit for their consideration. These will be collated and used when considering your assessments to help mitigate the impact of the industrial action on your overall profile of marks.

For PGR students, your Dean of Postgraduate Studies will consider the impact of missed supervision and decide on relevant action, which will be communicated to you by your Graduate School Office.

You will receive an automated reply to acknowledge receipt of the form.

Only use this form if you wish to inform the University of impact as a result of the industrial action.

If you need to request an individual adjustment to your assessments for other personal circumstances submit the online Personal Extenuating Circumstances form or Mitigating Circumstances Form (MPhil and Doctoral students) in the usual way.
